Excel Fundraising We have 6 children and I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for the past 21 years. This last Fall (2007) our youngest child entered kindergarten. At the beginning of Summer ‘07 we’d been talking to a friend in another state and she told us about Butter Braid. We’d never heard of Butter Braid before, but my husband felt very strongly that this was something we really needed to look into. As a CFO in the corporate world, he’d had his eye out for a business we could own and operate and involve the family in. By the end of July, we had purchased our dealership, just in time to attend the August session of Butter Braid University (BBU), at Country Maid, Inc.

We found the training and experience of BBU to be a very powerful tool for understanding how to successfully run a Butter Braid Dealership. It also established us as part of the Country Maid Family (and when I say family, I really do mean it!). The support we’ve received from Country Maid and the other dealers has been amazing. Everyone cares about everyone else. It’s one great big family! We spent the remaining part of August organizing our office and business systems for our new dealership, and then hit the ground running the day school started. We ended our first season with one predominant thought in mind…We Love Butter Braid! The people, the product, the business, everything!

This really is an amazing business! It is not without its work, but work is good for the soul. Our customers have become our friends. The nature of a Butter Braid dealership is very “service” oriented so we always leave a delivery feeling good because we’ve been able to help and be of service. We honestly feel there isn’t a business we could own that’s more perfectly suited for us than this one. At the close of our first full year, we have one big shout out to say….“WE LOVE BEING BUTTER BRAID SAN DIEGO!”
